Thought I havent had a nocturnal ramble in a while and well no time like the present to get started...
So my good buddy
Descartes had an epiphany one day and concluded “I think therefore I am”. Basically
in a nutshell he argued/concluded if one is sceptical of any existence, that is proof enough of the
fact that he/she does in reality exist. Fun stuff right!
Now that we have
proved our mere existence on this vast planet we call Earth, why not have a little
more fun and ponder over who we really are. Apparently most of humankind cannot
honestly answer this simple question. We may think we know but nah we don’t.
Everything is such a façade these days sadly. People insist on being something
or someone they are NOT!! It is human nature to hide or at least attempt to
hide our shortcomings. Well that and the fact that we spend most
if not all our life pleasing others, ergo not really being true to ourselves. I say screw it … living to please others gets you nowhere and it is called MY life for a reason. It is ok to be selfish sometimes think of self interest.

I have noticed that some people claim to be "an open book" so to speak but that is a lie if you ask me. Why you ask? Simply because they end up being a different book for different people and open themselves to a page others will find more accepting.
My other
buddy the oh so poetic Shakespeare had the following to say in one of my all time favourite
plays:
All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts, …..
And all the men and women merely players:
They have their exits and their entrances;
And one man in his time plays many parts, …..
– As You Like It
So let us take a
moment here to be true to ourselves and honestly answer who am I?
And that was my past midnight rambling of the day that may not have made any sense at all. its 3:15am and this random thought/notion/argument (or call it insanity if you like) took over me.
